Muscle Relaxing Injections Treatments

Botox is a treatment primarily used to soften facial expression.  Hyperactivity of the face expression muscles often result in the development of deep frown lines, forehead lines and/or crow’s feet.  Injecting Botox into lines and wrinkles temporarily paralyses the underlying muscles, responsible for wrinkling, giving the face a more relaxed youthful appearance.  Botox treatment helps wrinkles become smoother or disappear altogether.  It is typically used in people aged 18 to 65.

Botox works by blocking nerve transmission to temporarily reduce the contractions of the facial muscles that cause frown lines.

Botox – Line and Wrinkle treatments are commonly used to treat areas in the upper part of the face, Botox injection treatments can combat both fine lines and also deep wrinkles. The most popular areas are:

  • Frown lines between the eyes known as Glabella
  • Forehead lines
  • Crows feet

Lines & Wrinkles around the face develop over time and make us look older than we feel.   The treatment we all know as Botox® (botulinum toxin) has been formally approved for cosmetic use to reduce these lines and exaggerated facial expression.

The treatment is safe and virtually painless and results are visible within three to seven days, lasting for three to four months.  Botox treatment can also combine with other non surgical cosmetic treatments such as skin peels, microdermabrasion, Restylane dermal facial fillers, CACI non surgical face and neck lifting and various facial treatments.

Doctors  also use it in small doses to treat the following health problems:

Temporary removal of wrinkes on the face.

ŸSevere underarm sweating hyperhydrosis.

Cervical dystonia – a neurological disorder that causes severe neck and shoulder muscle contractions

ŸBlepharospasm – uncontrollable blinking

ŸStrabismus – misaligned eyes

Botox injections work by weakening or paralyzing certain muscles or by blocking certain nerves. Side effects can include pain at the injection site, flu-like symptoms, headache and upset stomach.  You should not use Botox if you are pregnant or breast feeding.

In addition to the treatment of frown lines and wrinkles Botox is also used to treat Hyperhydrosis (Excessive Sweating). Price £350
